'Morning Light'

For this piece of work I was commissioned to paint on three silk panels to be harnessed onto an antique folding screen.

The three silk panels I put through several layers of different types of gold leaf and paint to achieve an antique textured effect.

Once the panels were covered in gold to my satisfaction, I then painted the ‘Morning Light’ scene on top with a selection of fabric and acrylic paints.

When the panels were complete I then harnessed them onto an antique wooden screen supplied by the client.
